Wilderness and well-being

It’s the location that makes Savalen so special, and so ideally suited to discovering all that Norway’s outdoors has to offer. It’s partly the fact that you’ll be surrounded by pristine pine forest and mountains and partly the fact that its on one of Scandinavia’s famously spectacular lakes, but it’s mainly the fact that you can be out experiencing them in moments, getting involved and getting the kind of outdoor and adventure holiday you’ll remember for ever.

On the Lake

Savalen Lake is not only stunningly beautiful; it’s also a great and safe place to get out on the water. Rowing boats, canoes and kayaks are all available to hire by the day, and that means plenty of time to discover the lake at your own pace – though even if you canoed all week we doubt you’d ever see all the lake, or all the wildlife.

In a relaxing frame of mind

All that fresh air is all well and good, but come the evening? Well there’s the piano bar, the summer garden and the Panorama Glass terrace in the Savalen Fjellhotell and of course the luxurious spa facilities. So there really is no excuse to be up and out as soon as the sun rises over the mountains.

Transfers

From Oslo-Gardermoen you will need to travel by train to Tynset and have a short transfer by taxi to the resort. The transfers are included in your price and we organise the journey for you by booking your train ticket and taxi giving you more time to concentrate on what's important ... packing your suitcase!
