Cosmopolitan and cultured

As you’d expect from a city on the shores of the Mediterranean, Montpellier has always welcomed visitors, and that hasn’t changed a bit. Big enough to immerse yourself in, but not so big as to be daunting, it has a rich history and a tireless devotion to the good things in life, (Languedoc Roussillon produces more wine annually than all Australia).

A perfect place to learn, and play

The heart of the city is Place de la Comédie, named for the theatre that once stood there. One of the largest pedestrianised areas in Europe; this imposing plaza now hosts major open-air shows, daily street entertainment and outside cafés. It’s also home to the Three Graces - Étienne d'Antoine’s sculpture that has become an emblem of the city.

The historical centre has retained much of its original architecture including medieval streets that are now dotted with places to eat and to shop - we find that a short trip here can easily stretch into an entire afternoon.

Add to this La Cathédrale Saint-Pierre, Les Jardin des Plantes, and La Place Royale du Peyrou and you’ll soon see why we think Montpellier is accent perfect for our language courses.

Transfers

From Montpellier Mediteranee airport you will need to travel by bus (airport service) or taxi to the Place de l' Europe and catch the tramway ligne 1 or 2 to the heart of Montpellier.
